THE TREES OF THE WOOD
The Trees of the Wood appear in Act 1 Scene 2. They may also be used to help create the forest in Act 2.
Each tree has particular characteristics:

7 Has a loud sneeze
8 Has trouble with bees
Woodland creatures (none or many)

RECOMMENDED AUDIENCE
This comic fairytale is perfect for younger audiences who may already be famliar with the story of Little Red Riding Hood. Written in simpleand rhythmical, often rhyming, language the play keeps up an energetic pace. There are plenty of opportunities for the children to join in by singing, shouting out or catching the throwaway sweets.

The ‘Granny Calamity Song’ to be used to the tune of ‘Oh Dear, What Can the Matter Be?’ is included in the script. With such a well known tune it is easy to get the audience to sing along!
